JOIN OUR “INSPIRING CHANGE” WAVE FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

This Saturday, March 8, 2014 the Guam Coalition will be waving at ITC Intersection, corner of South Marine Corps Drive and Chalan San Antonio in Tamuning.
Gather at 10:45a.m., Wave from 11a.m.-12p.m.
 
[HAGATÑA, GUAM] March 7, 2014 –

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence (GCASAFV) and its community partners will hold a wave for one hour at the ITC Intersection, corner of South Marine Corps Drive and Chalan San Antonio in Tamuning, This Saturday, March 8, 2014 starting promptly at 11a.m. and ending promptly at noon. The coalition is coordinating this in conjunction with Guam Police Department’s Women Advisory Network.
This event is an opportunity to inspire all members of our island community to honor the achievements of all the women in their lives. International Women’s Day is an annual global day that has been in observance since the early 1900’s celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future! Annually on March 8th thousands of events are held throughout the world to celebrate the achievements of women. GCASAFV urges you to make a difference here on Guam by thinking globally, but acting locally! Do your part to ensure that the future of every girl is bright, equal, safe, and rewarding. Together we can make everyday International Women’s Day!

Established in 2006, the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (GCASAFV) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which aims to address sexual assault and family violence on Guam with one united voice.
